Lesley Tucker retrained to become a reflexologist in 2016, after a career in accounting, such was her belief in reflexology as an effective treatment. She trained with the Devon School of Reflexology in Exeter and is a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists and is bound by their code of conduct. She has continued her learning of reflexology by attending courses on Nerve Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage, Advanced Reflexology Techniques, Maternity & Fertility Reflexology, Structural Reflexology as well as Facial reflexology. Shine at Nine is owned and managed by Kath Mills,who lives in Bude, and who has been in hair and beauty for over 11 years. She opened Shine first as a hair boutique 4 and half years ago, and in last year she completed a total refurbishment of the upper floors at Shine to create tasteful, stylish treatment rooms using natural pallettes and eclectic chic decor to create something truly lovely. Kristii is a fully qualified level 3 beauty therapist who is St Tropez trained and has joined the team at Shine to deliver the wide range of beauty treatments on offer there from pre-tan waxing or body scrubs and exfoliation treatments to post-tan brow and lash tints and lifts, facials and massage as well as the tans themselves.
Sharon has been a qualified and practising massage therapist since 2011 and an osteopath for over 5 years working from her home based practice in Combe Martin (Combe Martin Osteopathy), the Body Aware Pilates Studio in Ilfracombe and since March 2019 at the Tarka Clinic in Barnstaple. Working from home has allowed Sharon a certain amount of independence and flexiblity to combine work with family life and she is delighted that she has become established as an asset to her local community. However she is now enthusiastically embrassing all the benefits and opportunities of working increasing with other healthcare professionals to reach a wider population in North Devon.
Sharon trained in Osteopathy for four years at what is now the International College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) and is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, and bound by their code of ethics and practice standards. In addition, Sharon is also qualified with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) in Western Medical Acupuncture and electro-acupuncture and to level 3 in Sports and Holistic Massage.

Sarah Farrell-Roberts owns and manages Washhouse Studio. She is a working artist in North Devon based at her newly opened art workspace Unit 6 on Mill Lane, next to Rolle Quay in the heart of Barnstaple where she produces her own paintings and upcycled and reclaimed furniture pieces, runs an art club for local people and now also specialist workshops for those interested in crafting. Jeannette worked in nursing homes for many years before starting her training in foot health. She since went on to train in a range of therapies and is now fully qualified in foot care and pedicure, Manicure and Shellac nails, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Swedish and many other forms of Massage , Hopi Ear Candling,and Bowen Technique and offers all of these treatments in addition to warm wax hair removal. She has a caring, gentle, but competent and professional approach, working in her practice uniform. Her treatment room which is at the front of her home on a residential estate in Northam is impressive and unexpectedly one of the best equipped treatment rooms of its kind I have found in North Devon and is exceptionally private with free parking outside. Jo Burgess and her husband David set up Raphael Treatment and Therapy Rooms over five years ago in Mill Street, Bideford to provide a care centre for body and mind. Treatments are personalised and customised, and given in a relaxed, respectful manner by a multi disciplinary qualified team. Jo is a qualified level three beauty therapist, nail technician and masseuse and currently study at level 4 beauty skills! Earlier this year Raphael expanded into the building next door to create more therapy rooms. The refurbishment programme is still in progress in part, although that does not effect the quality of the service for the many customers who enjoy their treatments at Raphael. The Plough Arts Centre,Torrington are organisers of the Open Air Theatre Season. The Plough is a beacon for the arts, and has been creating arts opportunities for all since the 1970's.
