Sarah Farrell-Roberts owns and manages Washhouse Studio. She is a working artist in North Devon based at her newly opened art workspace Unit 6 on Mill Lane, next to Rolle Quay in the heart of Barnstaple where she produces her own paintings and upcycled and reclaimed furniture pieces, runs an art club for local people and now also specialist workshops for those interested in crafting. Sharon has been a qualified and practising massage therapist since 2011 and an osteopath for over 5 years working from her home based practice in Combe Martin (Combe Martin Osteopathy), the Body Aware Pilates Studio in Ilfracombe and since March 2019 at the Tarka Clinic in Barnstaple. Working from home has allowed Sharon a certain amount of independence and flexiblity to combine work with family life and she is delighted that she has become established as an asset to her local community. However she is now enthusiastically embrassing all the benefits and opportunities of working increasing with other healthcare professionals to reach a wider population in North Devon.
Sharon trained in Osteopathy for four years at what is now the International College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) and is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, and bound by their code of ethics and practice standards. In addition, Sharon is also qualified with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) in Western Medical Acupuncture and electro-acupuncture and to level 3 in Sports and Holistic Massage.

As well as holiding a Diploma in Holistic Massage from the highly acclaimed Meridian School of Massage in the Midlands, she has a degree in music and a Diploma in Sound Therapy obtained from Liz Cooper's school in Bognor Regis. It was initially her desire to use her muscial skills to help people find the therapeutic powers of music that led her into the world of holistic treatments. Halsbury Barton, just outside Buckland Brewer near Bideford has been in the Slee family for years and brother and sister team Chris and Charlotte Slee grew up on the farm and have been farming there literally all their lives! Charlotte established the Halsbury Flock in 2003 when she bought 3 ewe lambs. She bought a ram and quickly began winning prizes for her champion Jacob sheep at regional shows. As well as breeding prize winners , last year Chris began to breed Jacob sheep for the lamb and now has a flock of 70 ewes and 4 rams. The wool is also excellent and they use it to make a range of throws, rugs, scarves and cushions which you can also buy from the farm . Originally from France where she had been incorporating a therapeutic approach into her work with babies and children in nurseries and in special education, Sara came to the UK in 2012 and established Cocoon Time Massage Therapy. She works in various highly acclaimed therapy centres in North Devon providing Thai massage and reflexology, hot stone massage, pregnancy massage and also runs baby massage classes helping mums and dads connect with their babies. Alison Prichard trained and qualified in beauty therapy in Coventy, Leamington Spa and then at Leicester College over 24 years ago and ran her own salon in Warwickshire for 8 years before becoming a teacher in her local beauty school while continuing to work as a therapist herself. She and her family relocated to Bideford in search of a better quality of life a few years ago and she now gives her treatments at the Treatment and Therapy Rooms, 50a Mill Street Bideford. She limits her treatments to the more advanced therapies including semi-permanent makeup, eyebrow and eyeliner tatooing, microdermabrasion, skin peels, oxygen facials, electrolysis and waxing.
